I made these adorable marble chocolate treats last year as treats for my kids teachers. Let's just say they were a huge hit and a sweet treat! I wanted to keep to my color block theme and painted these plastic eggs in a two tone color palette to place the bunnies in. I of course did not stop there and designed a colorful painted hang tag to bring it all together. The tags say 'Did some Bunny say chocolate"! Not only are these easy to make but they make a very nice gift to all.
Recipe:
Colored Candy Melts (I used white and colored my own as desired) - (Michaels)
Chocolate Coloring ( I used pink, yellow and turquiose)
Start by melting your chocolate melts in the microwave. I started with 30 second increments checking in between each set to ensure the desired consisteney. Make sure that you mix your chocolate well. I made sure to melt each color all at the same time. I used a toothpick to add color in small amounts to not over color. Once I had the colors I wanted I began to place the chocolate in the mold. I added each color one at a time and tapping the mold on the counter to remove any air bubbles and combine colors. I then placed the mold in the freezer for 10 minutes to ensure they are completely harden before removing them. I then removed them from the mold and they came out fairly easy by stretching the mold in different directions. I decided to keep mine simple with the marble look. However you could drizzle additional chocolate and add sprinkles.
What's your favorite chocolate treat?!
