Fringe DIY Napkin Rings

Fringe DIY Napkin Rings

We are back at it again with part two of our "Table Setting Collection"! We have all seen all the fringe projects and various looks around the web. This fringe napkin ring place setting is so dainty and delicate that I really like how soft it made the table setting look. The possibilities are really endless with this project as you can use any material, colors, add beads and or other embellishments. I remember being a little girl and helping my mom set the table when she entertained. She would always have the music playing and talking about how every piece at the table had a story to tell. One of my favorite things was listening to her explain how some of the items had been passed down to her from generations in Spain. Then she would let me add my very own personal item of choice. Anything I wanted. Sometimes I would add something I made at school or I would make something especially for each place setting. Some of the best times were spent with my mom making little things and memories. I miss her daily. IMG_0505 IMG_0500

  • Crochet Thread ( I went with three different colors to create an ombre look) - (Joann's)
  • Wooden Rings - (Joann's)
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Begin by deciding which color combo you would like to start with. You could always make them in a solid color as well. Start by cutting all your crochet thread to about 11 inches of each color. You will want two strands per color per loop and I ended up with 14 total loops. Once you have done that begin by looping your crochet thread around your wooden ring with the colors and pattern of your choice. One set at a time and two strands per loop. When you are finished trim your strands evenly to finish off your fringe look. That's it! You are all set to entertain your guest!
