As our first few weeks of school end my girls have a ton of things to try and remember, who else dislikes the second trip back to school for forgotten things?. That was the inspiration for this project and the fact that I love pencil cases was a bonus! How many times do we ask our kids, "Honey do you everything, your homework, books"? Oh "NO" I forgot to write that down can you take me back to school mom! Now having this simple "write that down" pencil case should help! It's funny the things you remember about being a kid in school. The best part about summer for me was spending time with family, friends and staying up late. But going back to school meant shopping with my mom for supplies and getting to pick out my backpack and yes my pencil case was very important! LOL I would even sharpen all my pencils a few days before school. I love the fact that now you can really customize just about any of their school supplies including folders, binders, notebooks that you buy for your kiddos based on their likes and personality. Having my Silhouette Cameo has made that very easy. What was one of your favorite back to school supplies?!
Begin by downloading our design or by purchasing your files. Once you have opened your files prep your Silouette to cut vinyl and send your files to cut. You will have one file that you may use with one color option or you can choose to print 3 various colors as I did. At this point you will prep your vinyl with the tranfer paper and place your text file first onto your box. Make sure it's level and centered on your box the way you like. Then continue with the other additional files. Once you have placed all your vinyl files onto your box you can begin to fill it with your favorite pens, pencils, colored pencils and or markers.
The best part of this simple DIY project is it would make a great "Back to School" gift! What would your pencil case say?
